Hello! I'm Aditi Chockalingam and I am a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I hope to pursue a career in sustainability or construction management. I enjoy working in fast-paced environments that challenge my knowledge.
Currently, I spend my time participating in organizations on campus such as the American Society of Civil Engineers and Illinois Solar Decathlon. As the President for the American Society of Civil Engineers, I overlook overall progress and implement new ideas to increase our local presence and engage our members. As part of the construction management team in Illinois Solar Decathlon, I work with teams of students to design and build a net positive home from the ground up in a local neighborhood. As the sponsorship director of Solar Decathlon I am in charge of external communication and use my network to obtain financial and advisory sponsorships and product donations to help fund our building efforts.
In my free time, you can find me trying out new eateries in the Champaign-Urbana area with my friends, taking walks around our beautiful campus or watching my favorite shows like The Good Place and New Girl.
